Night Shift, OHK, Oostende, and Radiator, 019, Ghent, 2022
Galvanized steel ventilation ducts

A letterform shaped and supported by the site, at the same time as breaking the barriers imposed
by the spatial context, and creating new spaces for interacting within. Reappropriated circulation
vents reach over Leopold II’s Royal Galleries walling the beach from the city in Oostende (part
of Night Shift Oostende), and continue from the ground through and across the roof of 019, Ghent
(part of the exhibition Radiator), shaping collective infrastructures for gatherings, performances
and events throughout Night Shift and Radiator.

This project developed from working with reappropriated gas pipes (Snakes and Ladders, 2019),
and experimentation with discarded pipes found in Decoreatelier, Brussels, during the Nomadic
Workspace for New Masters residency, organised by Gouvernement in 2021.
